This is the best way to do the number one must-do destination on the East Coast of Australia. Combining two nights at the wonderful Rainbow Beach before a three day tour of the the incredible natural wonderland of Fraser Island.

Take your time at Rainbow Beach to chill or explore the multi-coloured sands. Try kayakaing or standup paddle boarding at Double Island with the turtles and large pods of dolphins.

After two nights staying at Frasers on Rainbow head out for three action packed days visiting Fraser Island is real 4WDs. Travel in a convoy with an experienced lead vehicle visiting the incredible freshwater inland lakes such as Lake McKenzie and Lake Wabby. See the massive Satinae trees amongst the giant rainforest and drive along the rugged ocean beaches to see the Maheno ship wreck. Your private campsite is within meters of the white sand beach.

Returning on the third evening we again overnight in Rainbow Beach ready for your onward journey (or a few more days just chilling and relaxing).

Day 1 : Arrive Rainbow Beach
Arrive into Rainbow Beach at any time. Early arrivals can enjoy the beach or Frasers on Rainbow facilities before checking in. Overnight accommodation included.

Day 2 : Rainbow Beach
Today you have the day free to explore or relax in Rainbow Beach. Be ready by 5pm for your compulsory Fraser Island safety briefing. Overnight Frasers on Rainbow.

Day 3 : Sample itinerary - Depart Rainbow Beach for Fraser Island
We begin with a morning brief at Dingos Resort which will cover the packing of the cars, checking of equipment, Dingo safety and driver briefing. At 9.30am we depart for Fraser Island. We drive approximately ten minutes to the barge (ferry) and board for our ten-minute crossing. Once we have arrived on the world's biggest sand island, we then drive for one-hour to the Eurong resort along 75 Mile beach - Fraser Island's own highway with speed limits! There you can grab a coffee and chocolate croissant (own cost) for morning tea. From here is when the big adventure begins as we drive to the famous Lake McKenzie...arguably the most popular and picturesque highlight of Fraser. Here we stop for some lunch, and for some quality time to have a play in the amazing clear waters with your new found friends. Around 3pm we drive up the beach to our campsite for an early dinner and some well deserved drinks and fun.

Day 4 : Eli Creek, Maheno Shipwreck, Indian Head
Rise in the morning for a quick breakfast before we begin our busiest day on Fraser Island and head off to see Eli Creek, a beautifully clear creek perfect for a relaxing swim. Travelling north we then stop at Maheno Shipwreck for some photos and short history lesson about this famous Fraser Island icon. Shortly after we travel up to Indian Head, Fraser Island's highest point. From here you may be lucky enough to see whales and sharks in the ocean, before we travel to Champagne {Pools for a dip! We have lunch at either Maheno Shipwreck or Champagne Pools on Day 2 depending on time constraints, safety and beauty. In the afternoon we travel back to camp for dinner and drinks.

Day 5 : Lake Wabby, Return to Rainbow Beach
Start with breakfast, before our cleaning and take-down of our campsite. We then drive to the beginning of the Lake Wabby walk, where we walk through the sand dunes to this tropical paradise! Lunch follows our trip to Lake Wabby, before we begin our drive down the beach heading back to the barge. Once back on the mainland we head back to the 4WD shed where you unpack and quickly clean the cars. We return to Dingos and Frasers on Rainbow Resorts between 3pm and 4pm.

Day 6 : Depart Rainbow Beach
After a fun night with your new friends, check out of Frasers on Rainbow by 10am.
