Day 1 : Cairns - Port Douglas - Cape Tribulation
In the morning, you will be collected from your accommodation by our travel partner Billy Tea Bush Safaris. Travel north along the scenic route to Mossman, lush farmland contrasts with seascape as we approach the majestic Daintree River.Enjoy a short morning tea break. Ascending the Alexandra Range, we pause for a panoramic view of World Heritage Tropical Rainforest merging with the azure colours of the Coral Sea. Experience the rainforest intimately on our elevated National Park Boardwalk. A delicious barbecue lunch with freshly prepared salads is served while you have the opportunity to hand feed a kangaroo and enjoy a cold drink from the bar. Our tour does a little more. It takes us beyond Cape Tribulation along the 4WD Bloomfield Track to pristine Emmagen Creek and time for a refreshing rainforest stream swim. As you seek fish and turtles in this wonderful Rainforest creek, butterflies and exotic birds in the trees and indulge in a feast of exotic tropical fruits, and enjoy sample a cup of traditional Billy Tea, made in a traditional Australian Billy, all of which enhance the tranquil surroundings Transfer to your overnight accommodation in Cape Trib Beach where you have the remainder of the day and evening at your leisure.
Day 2 : Cape Tribulation - Cooktown
This morning you will be collected from your accommodation by Adventure North Australia where your journey will continue to Cooktown – The Last Frontier of North Queensland. The 4WD only Bloomfield Track allows you to travel through the heart of this World Heritage Listed area providing incredible glimpses of Australia hard to imagine.Travel over rugged mountain ranges, river crossings, spot crocodiles and other Australian wildlife and fauna. Visit the Bana Yirriji Art and Cultural Centre, Wujal Wujal. Enjoy lunch at Blooms Café, Ayton. A short distance sees the unique geological oddity, which is Black Mountain. Ascend Grassy Hill for the spectacular panoramic views of the Endeavour River, Coral Sea and Cooktown. Have your camera ready! Transfer to your overnight accommodation in Cooktown, with the afternoon and evening at your leisure.
Day 3 : Cooktown - Port Douglas - Cairns
Enjoy a free day to explore Cooktown. Take this time to visit the World Class James Cook Museum and admire the landmarks as you stroll along the shores of the Endeavour River. ou can experience the unspoilt beauty of the area, which remains much the same as when Captain Cook knew it in 1770. Late this afternoon we depart Cooktown via the inland road, the Mulligan Highway, travelling through a diverse landscape of cattle stations and the Palmer River gold mine region, which is the outback of Far North Queensland. Stop for a meal break (at your own expense) before your tour concludes returning to your accommodation in Port Douglas 8.00pm or Cairns approx 9.00pm.
