A great tour and an amazing day

My husband and I had the pleasure of being on the 'Go Wild' Daintree/Cape Tribulation.

From the moment we were picked up from our resort to the conclusion of the tour we were incredibly impressed with the tour itself and our amazing tour guide.

We were fortunate to have Lisa as our guide and I cannot praise her enough. She was energetic, fun, informative and a pleasure to be around.

Our tour wasn't the easiest for her with several people continuously late throughout the tour, and some flat out ignoring her advice. Lisa handled these situations with grace, humility and humour. Her local knowledge was amazing, her anecdotal stories a joy and her love for wildlife and far north qld was both obvious and contagious.

Lisa also took our tour to a local ice-creamery and stupidly neither myself or my husband had enough cash on us to purchase any ice cream. To my joy Lisa took it upon herself to purchase a cup of ice cream for myself and husband to share out of her own money.

We cannot thank her enough, and hope to return to FNQ as soon as is practicable to enjoy another tour, who knows we might be lucky enough to have Lisa as our guide.
So thank you for a great tour and an amazing day.

    Great guide!

We booked the Go Wild Tour. Because of the long distances, lots of time is spent on the bus. Our tour guide Lisa made sure it was fun and interesting from start to end, though. She almost continuously provided us with local historic context, information about flora and fauna, and lots of personal stories too. She truly made it a great day.

During the tour itself, not all went according to plan. No shows and fellow travellers who were late for their pickup time or return times unfortunately caused some delays. That limited our time at the wildlife park a bit, for example. Our tour guide tried to compensate where possible and in the end managed to squeeze in an extra stop. Also we only saw one small piece of one crocodile at the end, but that was because of the high tide.

The sunset drive back to port Douglas and Cairns was absolutely stunning though.

A good trip made great by the driver/guide

I took the one day " go wild cape tribulation tour" from Cairns. This was booked at short notice as I had a day spare.

We went on a couple of walks in the rainforest where George was a mine of information on trees, wildlife etc and the history of the area.

Also visited the wildlife habitat where you get to see lots of wild animals in as close to their natural habitat as possible.

Good basic lunch at the beach cafe which has to have had the most cheerful wait staff I have ever met, nice to see someone happy in their work.

A good trip made great by the driver/guide.
