Day 2 : Kakadu National Park
Awake for breakfast this morning before joining an iconic Yellow Waters Cruise. Spotting crocodiles is only one of the many wildlife viewing opportunities on this unique water system. Departing camp we travel to nearby Nourlangie Rock. Here you can see how local Aboriginal people lived in this area through changing times. Environmental and social changes are reflected in the rock art and in the ground, where archaeologists have uncovered over 20,000 years of Aboriginal occupation. After lunch visit the Bowali Visitor Centre, a Gun-djeihmi name for the local area and creek on land owned by the Mirarr clan. See the audio-visual presentations and Marrawuddi Gallery showcasing Aboriginal art by artists from within Kakadu and the wider region. Later this afternoon we arrive at the culturally significant Aboriginal art site, Ubirr, located within the East Alligator region of the park. Here you will view a wide range of ancient Aboriginal art which will be interpreted by your guide. Learn the story of the Rainbow Serpent and climb the Nadab Lookout for panoramic views over the floodplain and beyond into Arnhem Land. After learning about the area, it’s time to pick out a quiet spot to sit while we watch the sun set over the Kakadu escarpment before making the short journey to our private and permanent campsite for the night.

Day 3 : Twin & Jim Jim Falls
Today the jewels of Kakadu National Park await. Departing early we travel to Twin and Jim Jim Falls. Explore Twin Falls Gorge which is accessed by 4-wheel drive track, a boat shuttle service and a rocky walking track and boardwalk. Once there relax on the sandy banks and admire the falls. There’s more 4-wheel driving as we make our way to Jim Jim Falls where a walk through monsoon forest and over boulders takes us to the waterfall and plunge pool which are surrounded by 150 metre cliffs. Spend the night at our campsite in Kakadu.

Day 4 : Kakadu National Park to Katherine
Today, the pace relaxes as we head into Gunlom Falls for a full morning to enjoy all this spectacular area has to offer. Relax around the lower plunge pool before hiking to the top of the falls where an amazing view is on offer while you enjoy the many rock holes. For the energetic, keep going to the rear fall where you will be rewarded with a swim under the waterfall. After a tasty lunch, it's all aboard as we travel on to the Katherine Region. Myself and a friend did the 5 day tour of Litchfield, Kakadu and Katherine. It is by far one of the best trips I have ever done! Jezza is awesome and our group were amazing making the experience unforgettable! The trip was really well organised, the camp sites were great (particularly on the last night when you are on a private site) and food was really good. The landscapes are spectacular (particularly sunset at Ubirr), we got to swim at most waterfalls (some were closed due to water levels) and the scenery along the walking trails was breathtaking. This is definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and I would highly recommend going with this tour group. Jezza is a legend, really knowledgeable, good fun and kept us right (particularly on the more challenging walking trails!)

I don't really write trip advisor reviews but having done this trip would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of exploring the Top End!

I recently went on the 5 day “Jabiru dreaming” tour and all I can say is that is was fantastic. The perfect experience for solo travelers and the other families and couples part of my tour group. Our guide Rhett had a great understanding and knowledge of the culture and wildlife in the area, always willing to answer questions help out with pictures etc. as well as making evenings round the campfire and wake up calls even better with a guitar! The food provided was great, tents/beds were the perfect balance of comfort and camping.
Awesome views. Awesome guide. Awesome experience.

This is truly the best experience I have ever had and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

5 day Kakadu, Litchfield, and Katherine trip was brilliant. Our guide, Annie, was incredibly organised, competent, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Amazing scenery, beautiful bird life, crocodiles, ancient aboriginal rock art, and aboriginal cultural experience. Comfortable camping in tents big enough to stand in. Fellow travellers were great with a nice mix of ages.

If you like camping and that lifestyle this is a great trip. A few things to know. You spend a lot of time riding in the van.The van is comfortable but it’s also noisy They’re trying to show you a lot of area so you spent a lot of time riding. You do see a lot of different things with a varied itinerary for those who like the outdoors. The highlight was the yellow river cruise in Kakadu! The tents are comfortable enough , sleep on cots , it’s OK but hot. The food is pretty good (esp. dinner) except the lunches are lacking ( just a sandwich!) often on dirty picnic tables and flies. Plenty of different things to see and experience. I found the people friendly and cooperative. Our guide was knowledgeable, organized, positive and upbeat. I don’t think I could’ve done this very well on my own so very glad we did this tour so we could really experience this part of the outback.

I went on the 5 day Jabiru Dreaming road trip, i love road tripping and found the group to be a random bunch of nice people all wanting diffrent experiances.
The tour guide knew his stuff, ran a tight ship/truck, managed the timing and group well, was knowledgeable of the area and cultural aspects. We were all well informed of the activities and kept well fed.
Thanks for taking me to gob smackingly beautiful places that i may have not been able to visit otherwise. Nice work Janner!
