This trip only runs between June and October when over 10,000 Humpback whales migrate along the New South Wales coast. The trip is virtually exactly the same as our Port Stephens Dolphin Trip except we go a little further out to sea in to view these mighty creatures.
The trip leaves Sydney heading north to Nelson Bay in the heart of the Port Stephens area early. You have some time to take lunch and stroll around the quaint crafts shops in the small village before we head out on a purpose built sailing catamaran in search of the whales.
The Humpback whales are renowned for their playfulness and acrobatics and hopefully they will put on a real show as they migrate south. Our comfortable boat has a large viewing deck, free tea and coffee, and a licensed bar to enjoy your time. We also keep an eagle eye out for some of the playful 150 bottlenose dolphins that live in the Port Stephens area and loads of other bird and sea life.
Once we get back a shore we head out in large 4WD vehicles from the golden sands of Stockton Beach to the enormous Anna Bay sand dunes where you can try you hand at crazy sand boarding down massive dunes on our purpose built boards. The only thing you need for this trip is a sense of adventure to throw yourselves off the cliff and a bit of determined energy to hike back up those sand dunes to do it all again!!!
