Jervis Bay Dolphin Explorer Daytrip from Sydney

Departing Sundays this beach excursion takes you to a less travelled part of Australia for the worlds whitest sand beach and a dolphin watching boat trip.

The South Coast might not be on everyones immediate radar but this is arguably one of the best day trips from Sydney to see a real slice of Australia treasure.

Departing only on Sundays we drag you out of bed early after a big Sydney Saturday night and help you clear the cobwebs with a gentle meander through the rolling hills south of Sydney along the South Coast. You will quickly feel revitalised and refreshed from the stunning views of the coastline on the left, the quaint coastal villages of Berry and Kiama Heights, and the towering Great Dividing Mountain Range on the right.

We are making our way to the beautiful Jervis Bay for a leisurely picnic lunch of fresh local produce at the sparking white sand Hyams beach, perfect for some sun baking and a delightful swim in the crystal clear Pacific Ocean, before we head out for a cruise in search of the playful bottlenose dolphins. Jervis Bay is a protected marine park so you will encounter a whole raft of marine life, like blue penguins, seals, and if we are lucky migrating Humpback whales between June and October.

    Excellent Tour.

The driver, James, was excellent and willing to alter the tour to suit the weather.

Kangaroo Valley was beautiful, Jervis Bay and particularly Hyams Beach was a big hit for the passengers from overseas.

Last but not least, seeing a huge mob of wild kangaroos quite close was a huge highlight. We could almost reach out and pat them.

    Awesome day.

    Awesome Tour!!!!

Our tour guide smokey was awesome!!! I could tell that he was really passionate about his job and made the entire trip really enjoyable. He even went out of his way to accommodate all of us. My dad booked the Port Stephens Day Tour and one of the highlights was dolphins watching. Some of the other tourists wanted to see the whales instead even though they have not booked it in advance.

But Smokey made it happen somehow and all of us in the tour got to see not only the whales but dolphins as well!! I would highly recommend anyone who is coming to Sydney to book a tour with colourful trips!

Thank you Smokey for making this family trip a memorable one! I'll be sure to tell my friends in Singapore to book a tour with colourful trips when they come to Sydney. Cheers! (Singapore Family)

An Amazing Day at Jervis Bay

Tour guide Mark was friendly (and he gave great commentaries on board!) We were lucky enough to have witnessed the magical Kiama Blowhole, tasted some lovely pastries for lunch sitting on the beach, hopped on the dolphin watch cruise and enjoyed the warm sunshine and breeze on the deck (guess those cute little creatures might have been too shy to say hi, we enjoyed the cruise anyway). And wish we had more time for the turquoise water and pearly white sand on Hyams Beach - who needs Maldives when you have Jervis bay? ;)

On our way back to Sydney, Mark took us to Sanctuary Point where we spotted some 30 jumpy kangaroos right next to locals playing golf - it was definitely a lovely surprise. Though it's a long journey down south, the experience is totally worth it. Thank you for a memorable day Mark :)
