Blue Mountains and Wildlife Park Tour from Sydney

Take a day tour from Sydney to see the beautiful World Heritage listed Blue Mountains.

This day trip to the beauty of the one million hectare UNESCO World Heritage listed Blue Mountains is our most popular day tour in Australia. The endless Instagram opportunities as we pass through the inspiring landscape made up of rainforests, canyons, tall forests and headlands will have you burning through you camera/phone battery.

Led by our expert eco-accredited guides, with in-depth commentary, we take you into the heart of the Blue Mountains for a bush hike to the majestic Wentworth Falls and a trip to see the famous Three Sisters sandstone cliff formations to discover the hidden meaning of the name 'Blue Mountains’. Learn stories of the ancient indigenous inhabitants, a food called ‘bush tucker’ and the wonderful array of native flora and fauna.

Although not graded as easy the walks on this trip are perfectly manageable for those with reasonable fitness. For those with less levels of fitness there are different walks to suit all levels of enthusiasm. However we really encouraged that you do the hour long hike, which entails a good level of fitness.

On the way into the Blue Mountains National Park we bring you to the Featherdale Wildlife Park, our favourite wildlife park in Australia, to get close to a bunch of native animals include a cuddle with a Koala, feeding the Kangaroos and massive crocodiles (cuddling not recommended).

A freshly prepared lunch including a choice of chicken, ham, beef roll and a fantastic sweet finish is served in Katoomba.

Our Blue Mountains Day Trip runs daily in our comfortable our air-conditioned vehicles.

This is our most popular day-trip in Australia and simply the must do day-trip from Sydney. The Three Sisters rock formation is one of Australia’s most iconic landscapes. The views of the Jamison Valley are incredible as is the hike down the Furber Steps (a path cut down a steep cliff face through the lush rainforest). We highly recommend that you have at least a reasonable level of fitness for this trip - although we also recommend taking the world’s steps railway back up rather than hiking (the cost of which is not included).

The Blue Mountains is a Perfect Getaway

The Blue Mountains is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of exploring Sydney city. Its a chance to get up close and personal to Australia native animals at Featherdale wildlife park. A chance to get in some much needed exercise after all those long lunches at Darling Harbour. The walks are not for the faint hearted, but perfectly manageable for those with reasonable fitness.

    We had an Amazing Day

We had an amazing day with our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide Nigel! He took us to the Featherdale Wildlife Park where we could feed kangaroos and meet other native animals. After having a fresh and tasty lunch, we did a really nice hike far away from the general tourist flow. The pristine nature and roaring waterfalls were absolutely impressive and memorable! Later, we went to the Three Sisters Lookout Point and did another nice hike along a sunny slope providing a wonderful view over the Blue Mountains. Our many thanks go to Nigel and the 'guys' for an excellent organisation of this trip!

    Very Recommend

Took a day trip on the 24th, enjoyed the day mostly younger people the trip but didnt stop anyone from walking well planned trip and great stories/explanation told by our guide Bill.  Very recommend to take a guided trip to the blue mountains as there is a lot of history and trails that can't be done on your own.

    I really Enjoyed This Tour.

The first stop at the wildlife park was awesome. We got to hand feed a lot of animals and we had a lot of time there to look around. I liked how things are very relaxed and not stressed on this tour. The Blue Mountains were pretty awesome as well. We got to go on some very nice walks there. Lunch is also included in a lovely area away from all the tourists. We also got some fries and wedges, and a beer when we got back to Sydney.

    Big Thank You

We started the day with a stop at Featherdale Wildlife Park, where we had the opportunity to feed kangaroos and see amazing Aussie animals. Afterwards we went to the Three Sisters Lookout, which was too beautiful for words. The lunch was delicious!!! BIG THANK YOU to our bus driver and tour guide Ronnie, who took the time to tell us everything about the Blue Mountains and some Aboriginal history. My friends and I really had a great time.

    Would Definitely Recommend

I wasn't really told a lot from the documentation about what I'd be expecting from the day. I thought we'd hike up the Blue Mountains and that'd be it, but we got so much more! Our tour guide, Billy, made everyone feel welcome from the get go by talking in great detail about himself and what he loves about Australia. Our first stop was to a little wildlife park where you could get up close and personal with wallabies and kangaroos (which I very much appreciated being an animal lover). We then drove to Katoomba where Billy got our sandwich orders (which you order whilst you're driving) from a local bakery with an additional dessert (a very lovely apple pie). He then took us to a touristy spot of the Blue Mountains where we could go and explore for a certain amount of time and eat our lunch, When we next met back up he took us to the spot where we would be hiking from. Definitely wear comfortable, grippy shoes for this as some of the steps can be slippy and sometimes are barely there. The hike itself was filled with little pit stops where Billy would enlighten us with historical and cultural facts about the area. He even took photographs for us which was great! On our way back, he invited us all our for a drink in the pub which was very generous of him and definitely needed after all the walking we did. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to go to the Blue Mountains and learn a bit of history about the area. Went above and beyond what I expected out of the day. Thanks Billy!

You could tell that he really enjoyed his job as he was so passionate and knowledgable and he really made sure that everyone on his tour had a good time. Thanks Guys for an Awesome Time

Had such an amazing time on the 1 day Blue Mountains trip! Went Sunday (23/07) and was blown away at the level of knowledge and experience of Ronnie, our tour guide. It's clear that the staff truly love their work and make sure visitors of Sydney have amazing experiences! Even with the trip to Featherdale Wildlife Park (which I loved, had been there once before and was excited to go back!) we were back in the city at around 5:30pm, and the time in the Blue Mountains never felt rushed or like we'd left without doing enough there. The walks were great, would have been up for more rugged hiking, but enjoyed everything nonetheless. Also really enjoyed hearing about the Aboriginal stories and learning about the different plants that grow up there! Thanks guys for an awesome time!
